Welcome to My Life

Before you dive in to the blog read this post if you want to know a bit more about me.

Who Am I?

My name is Brooklyn. I’m a recent university graduate who has just entered the 9-5 world. I graduated with a bachelor of Arts degree with a major in criminology and a minor in psychology. I live in an apartment with my boyfriend and work a 9-5 office job at the same university that I graduated from.

Why am I Doing This?

I decided to start this blog to hold myself accountable. I want to share my experiences with my finances, work, home, and my aspirations and accomplishments. I wanted a place to record what I’m doing and I thought that sharing my journey with other people could potentially help me to be more successful in my attempts to improve myself.

I hope that, through my writing, I can inspire people to make positive changes in their own lives and help to reassure people that the challenges that they are facing in their lives are not out of the ordinary.

My Goals

It is currently November 2019 and I want to share a few of my goals. These are not necessarily goals for the month or even for the year but they are just things that I hope to accomplish.

  1. Adopt a dog
  2. Publish a book
  3. Start a business
  4. Move to a warmer climate
  5. Drink at least two of my water bottles a day
  6. Buy a Condo
  7. Run a 5K

These are just a few of the things that I want to do in the near/not so near future. Some of these things are things that I have already started working on. I wrote this to spark some inspiration in you (my readers) to think about the things that you want to accomplish and to go even further and think about why you aren’t working to accomplish these things right now.

I hope you guys enjoy my blog enough to stick around and subscribe 🙂

I wish everyone good luck in this crazy thing called life

  1. Great goals! My first 5K was also post-grad and I used one of those counch-5k apps to work up to it. Can’t wait to see how everything works out!
    Best of luck, M.

    1. Hey thanks so much for commenting! That’s great to hear that you ran a 5K post grad. I’ve never been into running and I always feel like it’s too late to start even though it’s not!
