February Challenge- I love to Read Month

For my February challenge, in honor of I love to read month, I will be reading one book every week and writing a review every Friday on my blog. I may add or change these books along the way but these are the books I have in my apartment right now that I haven’t gotten around to reading yet. Truth be told, I just need to finish these books so I don’t feel guilty about buying more later.

Rich Dad Poor Dad- Robert Kiyosaki & Sharon Letchter

This book was written in 1997, so it’s a bit older than most of the books I enjoy reading. I have heard so many good things about this book and I am really trying to broaden my financial knowledge so a book pertaining to financial literacy should be a good read for me.

You are a Badass- Jen Sincero

I bought this book a few months ago hoping it would give me a bit of inspiration or clarity in my life and I haven’t been able to read through it. I get a few pages in and I lose interest. In February though, I am determined to push through

The 5th Wave- Rick Yancey

This book is a little different from my first two. I am really into fiction books and I actually watched a movie on Netflix that was based on this book. It is an apocalyptic trilogy that follows the story of a girl who is struggling to find her way in this new world. I’m very disappointed that I watched the movie first because I really like to read the book before I watch the movie. The movie was not made into a trilogy though, so i’m excited to see what transpires in the later books.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck- Mark Manson

I bought this book at the same time as ‘You are a badass” and I was hoping it would give me some inspiration. I’m not sure that I got much further into this book than I did the previous one but I am going to give it another shot.

Bonus Book: Side Hustle- Chris Guillebau

This is a book that I have owned for a few years. I think I have gotten about half way through before putting it down and starting over a few months later. It’s not that it isn’t an enjoyable book. The book outlines the steps to starting a successful side hustle. Every time I read it I feel like I haven’t successfully completed the steps necessary to proceed with the rest of the book. This year is different though. After starting this blog I feel that I may actually have a chance at proceeding with my side hustle idea. It has sparked a new will to read this book.

If you are interested in doing this challenge with me please do! Pick 4 books for the month and share them in the comments. If you are so inclined, read the books every week with me and tell me what you think of them. I would love to hear your thoughts on my books or the books you read!! As always, thank you so much for reading and if you enjoyed my post please subscribe for more just like this!
